espnstar.com's Kelvin Leong gives an insight on what to expect in the four quarterfinals matches on day two of the Guinness 9-Ball Singapore leg.

Alex Pagulayan (PHI) vs Nguyen Ahn Tuan (VIE)

First game of the day sees former WPC champion Alex Pagulyan pit his wits against Tour newcomer from Vietnam, Nguyen Ahn Tuan.

Tuan took down Chinese Taipei No.1 Wang Hung Hsiang and Filipino newcomer, Jericho Barnares in Group H with some stunning performances that got the crowd going on the first day in the Preliminary round.

Pagulayan's Group G saw a three way tie between Ibrahim Bin Amir of Malaysia and Nitiwat Kanjanasri of Thailand and the three players had to do a lottery pick to determine who would progress to the final eight.

A mismatch that could possibly throw up an upset if the Vietnamese bet continues

Dennis Orcollo (PHI) vs Fu Jian Bo (CHN)

World No.1 Orcollo succeeded in his quest for revenge by knocking out defending champion Chang Jung-Lin in Group A and has now been installed as the firm favourite to win this leg.

China's Fu Jian Bo made it through at the expense of Japanese bet, Oi Naoyuki and Korea's Ryu Seung Woo in Group B.

This could be a very lopsided game if the World No.1 plays through to his ranking and Fu could be in for a harsh lesson in the art of pool.

Joven Bustamante (PHI) vs Wu Chia Ching (TPE)

World No.6 Bustamante will meet Wu again to see who takes their place in the semi-finals and a titanic battle between two of Asia's best pool players will be eagerly anticipated by the Singapore crowd.

Bustamante came through from Group E after seeing off Hong Kong teenager, Han Hao Xiang and China's Li He Wen easily.

Wu on the other hand was defeated by local favourite Chan Keng Kwang but still squeezed through after beating Malaysia's Alvin Lean 9-1.

Antonio Gabica (PHI) vs Yang Ching Shun (TPE)

Genting leg finalist Gabica will take on Chinese Taipei's Yang Ching Shun in the second Filipino vs Taiwanese affair which promises to be an enticing match up.

Yang cruised into the quarters with relative ease by seeing off Singapore's Ben Zhang and India's Sumit Talwar in Group D on the first day of action.

Gaga made the same impact with two wins in Group C to send Singapore bet Toh Lian Han and Indonesia's Siauw Weito packing.

Two players at the peak of their game so expect fireworks when the umpire gets the game going.

Four massive games with some of the biggest names in Asian pool are set to take on each other for a place in the final four. Who will go through and who will be sent packing. The answers will come in the next few hours.
