1st Semi-final
Chang Jung-Lin (TPE) vs Ryu Seung Woo (KOR)
It was a show of strength from the defending champion back in the quarterfinals when he trashed Li He Wen of China 9-0 to make it into the final four.
The Taiwanese was a confident man when asked about his chances saying, "Of course I want to win and I think I can win it. Although the pressure is higher after I won the first two legs, I just have to concentrate on my own game, keep calm, and do my best."
His opponent, Ryu Seung Woo, was all smiles when he potted the 9 ball on the final rack against Wu Chia-Ching, in the quarterfinals to take his place in the semis.
The Korean has been in solid form on this leg so far having taken down another top player in the form of Alex Pagulayan from the Philippines back in the group stages.
Chang will do well not to underestimate his opponent and if he plays to the level he is capable of, it should be another spot on the final table for the Tour's biggest winner thus far.
Quarterfinals results
Chang Jung-Lin (TPE) 9-0 Li He Wen (CHN)
Ryu Seung Woo (KOR) 9-7 Wu Chia Ching (TPE)
2nd Semi-final
Wang Hung Hsiang (TPE) vs Antonia Gabica (PHI)
Antonia ‘Gaga' Gabica, has finally hit form on the Guinness 9-Ball Tour after a poor showing in the first two legs as he put in an efficient performance in the quarterfinals against Yang Ching-Shun to force his way into the final four.
The Asian Games gold medalist will be looking to be the second Filipino after Bustamante to make it onto the final table of this year's Tour.
Penang leg finalist, Wang Hung Hsiang, was even more impressive as he sent world No.6 ranked, Joven Bustamante, packing with a ruthless 9-3 demolition job of the Filipino.
The Taiwanese will be determined to outplay Gaga so as to hopefully set up another final between his close friend, Chang and himself. A repeat of the Penang leg final is a strong possibility but Gaga will be no pushover.
Quarterfinals results
Antonia Gabica (PHI) 9-7 Yang Ching-Shun (TPE)
Wang Hung Hsiang (TPE) 9-3 Joven Bustamante (PHI)
